I love the -idea- of the Necrons myself. The only thing that keeps me from fielding them is the utter lack of option the army has.

Nothing like the Necrons.

Love the Immortals - and the Monolith is SUCH A fire magnet. You can get away with so much.

I'm looking forward to playing mine in a City Fight Game...

44 Warriors - 2 Monoliths, Lord (Ress Orb) and Immortals and Destroyers.

Oh - and 10 Scarabs..

Lovely!

Dude here played Necrons against me once at 2000pts. 1 Lord with Orb, 3 Heavy destroyers, 1 Tomb Spyder and TONS of warriors. And I do mean tons. It was hard enough getting them to drop decently without that damn WBB roll, but add that into the mix and I didn't stand a chance with my Tau.

Yep - the Orb is nasty.

I think it's better than the Teleport ability by far.

I normally keep things together with the Monolith and march them implacably towards the enemy - then use the WBB and if needs be - teleport them through the portal if required.

Yeah, That is somewhat my tactics also. Although Cities of Death gives a number of new options.. Sewer Rats is great as it allows all yoru basic infantry to be held in reserve and deploy using the sewer tunnels. And the Medicae stategem is awesome as it basically gives double WBB rolls. I parked a full warrior squad in the building in turn 2 and by the end had only lost 2 figures from the entire squad.

AWESOME!
