Ok guys, beat this.

I'm walking into my local GW store and I kinda know the manager in there ok, and I spend a butt load of cash too.

But nothing could have surprised me more than what he basically "gave" me yesterday.

I am shopping for one Ogryn and two boxes of Terminators (for the Lysander collection... popular in 2007).

He basically says as I'm caressing the first box - "buy two and I'll give you a third for free"....

Wow I says... walking out with 15 Terminators and an Ogryn!

W00T!!

I was on my own in the store at the time - but $50 retail is $50 retail!

<Note for those counting - that's a total now of 36 new style Terminators incl. assault, normal and characters>

Quiet store... pick your times sir, that's what I say.

Also make a note to actually talk to them from time to time.

After a while, they won't immediately ask you which armies you play despite the fact you were only in there two minutes ago.

they are a good bunch really

I ordered the Fligth of the Eisenstein Poster and Tactica Imperialis from the web too... that's on it's way to my hot little hands

ah yes, i can't remember my local store giving me even a small discount, best they did was put away a WD for me,, and i've spent plenty there, i'm known around here for my huge collections:/

There was a competing store tho, the owner there gave me freebies all the time but nothing really big,, he got tired of ppl preferring the other place 'cause it had been there longer, so he shut his store,, sad:S

Dude at my local store gave me the terrain from the Macragge set once.

argh i've wanted that terrain for so long, but i just won't shell out for the box..

it is nice stuff though that terrain, but trying to get anything out of GW stores is like trying to get blood out of a stone at times. Saying that my local store is quite good if there is anything u r looking for such as bits of models etc they'll let u have a good dig through the huge bits box lol

yeah... I think they deserve to give us freebies, we are the ones with huge amounts of spendable income...

Besides.. Just building the last set of Terminators - 5 Assault Cannons available is SOOO nice
