old armorcast and forgeworld models

#1  Postby Sanguinedragon » Tue Mar 17, 2009 12:16 am

I have a super heavy fight on Sat. at the local GW store, I have many of the old original super heavy vehicles and titans, so i asked them if i should VDR them, however, the GW staff pointed me to this website
belloflostsouls.blogspot.com
they have mini codexes and such giving apocalypse rules for many of the old models. Thought this might be a good addition to armybuilder ,being i know many people with the old models.
Thought you might want to give it a look
Thanks
and if you already know of this place, well then, kudos :P

Since Bell of Lost Souls isnt really GW content, in the terms that GW made it, im fairly certain that the AB40K Maintainers cant put them in there without causing a ruckus. But dont take my word on it, i just haunt the forums here. :P

However, i do agree that BoLS has alot of fun and cool things there. I haunt there as much as i do here. :)

Rayne, have you not noticed the Community Lists race in the 1.01a files ;)

There are only 2 lists in there at the moment, but more may well be added if the maintainers have time to do so. While the focus is on getting the codex lists updated first, some of the maintainers wanted to get the BoLS lists in too. Whether the Apoc datasheets get added too will have to wait to be seen.

You don't need to search - when you start up AB if you look at the list of races (Space Marines, Eldar, etc) there's one called Community Lists.

I'm so happy you pointed out the community list army selection option.

(I have an Arbites and cult army)

Thanks Again

(On the vehicles I just added a generic unit with the right points)
(VDR gives tyranids mass points which is no longer used)

VDR does still use mass points - the VDR have not changed since the CA2004 release.

sorry I wasn't clear enough, while the VDR still uses mass points for the Tyranids, GW no longer uses them for Tyranids.

Imperial Armour Vol 4 - FW - Mass Points
Apocalypse - GW - No mass points
Lords of Battle - BoLS - No mass points

Thats why I suggest to enter a generic unit to reflect the points cost instead of trying the VDR for Tyranids.

Who knows maybe someone will code the Tyranid entries from the "Lords of Battle" some day.
