To be fair, I did find a lot of good hobby tips there, and there ware some good resources! And I was one of those people that asked for someone to look at my army list, but I think people do it just to make sure they didn't miss anything. That's why I did it! a few hundred potential sets of eyes all over the world are definetly better than one.

As for the hobby tips, i actually managed to get one or two there myself, but the forums were a True mess and most of the gazillions of posts didn't help the lesast.. there were of course good things as well, but they were few and far between,, all IMHO of course;)

To be honest, I wont be sad to see them go...

Arguements about Hive Tyrant Base size, and the advantages/disadvantages of having an arm sticking up in the air will not be missed...

I'm all for it but don't expect to see me throwing a lot of them around,
If they start popping up here in great numbers then maybe another subforum should be added?
That was my biggest gripe with GWs forum,, everything mixed in a big pot

My biggest problem with those boards, and the reason I left for good, was simply the chaos of them. Flame wars were rediculously frequent, moderation in order to prevent said wars and useless posts/threads was non existant, etc. Not to mention the horrible layout they had to top it off, making it one of the worst forums to read ever.

Then you look at boards like Dakka and Warseer, and here of course. Well laid out with separate sections for appropriate things and mods who are willing to lock a thread before it gets out of hand or because there are already 15 just like a couple pages back. These forums are easy to read and navigate which is how it should be.

Bah, I won't miss them at all.

Don't be too quick to complain about rules discussions...
