AS much as i'd like to resist, it seems a starter box will make it into my hands

The new boxed starter, due out in September of this year, will include the popular “mini-rulebook”, dice, measuring sticks and the proverbial French “Crap-Ton” of miniatures including:
1– Space Marine Commander (full sprue)
1– Space Marine Tactical Squad (10 models)
1– Space Marine Terminator Squad (5 models)
1– Space Marine Dreadnought

AND THAT’S NOT ALL!
The set will ALSO include:

1– Ork Warboss
2– Ork Boyz Mobs (20 models total)
1– Ork Nob Mob (5 models)
3– Death Koptas

Tooo good a deal to pass on.. i need the extra dice and measuresticks too.. or so i think :)

Let's not forget the fact that the starter box will be something like 60 bucks as well!

Ive heard that the Mini-rulebook WILL NOT be included in the starter box, emphasizing the new BGB instead, thats why the box is only 60$

Does anyone know if this Starter box is still going to be put out?

I was thinking of getting the "40k gamers edition" but the starter box seems like a lot better deal if they are going to do it. so, I've been waiting on putting in an order for the gamers edition in hopes of getting the starter box.

I hope they don't do this. The mini-rulebook was the best part of the Magragge box (since when I bought it I wasn't using marines or tyranids...at least, at the time). It's just so handy to have it and stuff it into the pockets of army transport cases or in the GW figure hardcases.

the latest I have heard from reliable sources is the rulebook will come out first and then the box set after that. There will be a "mini" rulebook in it but it will not contain all the rules and still require the large rulebook ... good ol' GW ....

The latest information is now that the Rulebook will be out first (in about 2 weeks for the UK), then a month later the Boxed set.

The box WILL contain a mini-rulebook.

The mini rulebook WILL contain every rule needed to play.

The mini rulebook WILL NOT contain any color, pictures, hobby advice, tips, background story, or flavor text.

It will be the rules, all of the rules, and JUST the rules.
