Is there a way to program it so that the FW rules for renegades and Kroot mercenary armies can be incorporated into current and future upgrades? I've been itching for a while to make my own Kroot and Renegade armies and don't know where to start.

FW rules for Renegades are already in the lists - create a new roster, and choose Chaos Marine army, pick Non Codex Materials from the Roster Options under the Rules section, and then pick one of the 3 FW renegades lists you want from the Chaos Legions section at the top of the rules.

Kroot Mercs are a bigger problem - they are no longer in the 40k files because they were never updated for 5th edition. You would need to create the rules for these yourself, but each time you upgrade the 40k files you would need to add them again as the files get overwritten during each update.

Better choice would probably be to grab either a 4E file or a very early (pre 1.15) 5E and just have a separate AB40K folder for the Krooties - as it was a recent choice to jettison them precisely for the lack of Official updates.

shaggai, doh! Forgot Kroot Mercs were stand alone so won't be affected by Tau FAQ and errata.

I grabbed one with Kroot . It was 1.14 version. Thanks!
