40k Character Creator?

I vaguely remember there being a character creator for 40k in AB, is this gone? Am I imagining things?
I have used (and love) the VDR, and thought there was a similar version for creating characters.

These must have been part of Chapter Approved and were part of 3rd edition?

There was never a character creator in the AB files, at least for as long as I can remember. GW have only ever released one character creator ruleset, specifically for the Medusa V campaign in store, and it was never added to AB. The rules were very hard to find even when they were on the GW site.
