It seems that Combat Patrol has been changed a bit and is now called either Border Patrol or Patrol Clash. Is this officially documented anywhere?

Here is what I have found on the web:
* Armies are no more than 500 points
* You must have two Troops choices
* You may have one HQ choice but no more than one
* You may spend the remaining points from anywhere in the Codex
* No Special Characters
* No 2+ saves
* No models with more than 2 wounds
* No vehicles with a Total Armour value of greater that 33. This is calculated by adding the Front, Side and Rear armour numbers. (only count the Side once)
* No Ordnance weapons
* No specialist Army Lists
* Games at the School League Finals will be played using one of the Scenarios in this pack
* Patrol Clash games should, ideally be played on a 4’ x 4’ area

-----

From this rule "You may have one HQ choice but no more than one" I think taking an HQ is optional.

But v1.04a of the datafile flags an error if no HQ is included.

So which way does this go?
HQ is optional and datafile has a bug or am I just confused :?:

This is the link for the main page of the School League section of the GW: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... Id=4300008

This has the various PDFs which outline the school league rules in regards to 40K. If you were used to the older Patrol rules, they have been extremely simplified compared what is allowed in the School League/Patrol Clash. If you also check out the following thread here: modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1580

This shows the basic difference from the main game...

Ah, yet another variation!

Thanks for the links.

I have not played wh40k in quite some time and I am trying to catch up.

I do wish GW would proof read their stuff better.

Here is a line from the School League PDF:

You can spend the rest of the points from on Troops or HQ choices.

From? From what?

Of course it should read:

You can spend the rest of the points on Troops or HQ choices.

Oh well :P
