DA is my newest army, and i dont see much wrong with it. My roommate plays a homemade chapter, and he gripes to me about how fluffy Ravenwing and Deathwing are, and how i can split my squads. The only thing he can lord over me is the fact that his marines have more options, even tho he just uses the same "IG Tactics" anyways.
And I have no doubt that GW would NEVER release a new dex without the 200$ army box first, then wait a month or 2, then release the dex all on its onesies alongside enough minis to bog down a landraider.
"IG Tactics: Field as many generic models as possible. 6 full troops squads, a full HQ and retinue, full devastator squad, then round out the rest of the points with any vehicle, dreadnaughts, or assault squads as the points will allow. The only wargear in the army is a stormbolter for the Master."
