When editing the CSM file to include a basic IG infantry unit I get the error:

"The data files could not be loaded due to the following errors:

Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'gnAddunit' not found for link
Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'ig_a_ellST' not found for link
Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'ig_a_ellVS' not found for link
Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'ig_a_ellVS' not found for link
Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'GnPlasG' not found for link"

What's going on?

Many Thanks!

Really?! What does that have to do with why I am receiving these errors?

I just dropped over $500 bucks on boxed sets. I don't think GW is going to care if I am trying to use "unofficial" rules.

With that said....

Anyone know what is causing the errors?

The data files could not be loaded due to the following errors:

Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'gnAddunit' not found for link
Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'ig_a_ellST' not found for link
Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'ig_a_ellVS' not found for link
Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'ig_a_ellVS' not found for link
Unit 'chCultists' - Option 'GnPlasG' not found for link

Many Thanks

What Homer was trying to point out is that you can't just lift parts of one file and put them into another - there are loads of cross references between dat, ext, and aug files, as well as race specific references - for instance, the ones that start with ig are references that exist only in the IG file, and by copying the unit to a different file you've broken those links as they aren't loaded when the csm race is loaded. To get these units working you'd have to copy a lot more, and change every reference to a new name to avoid conflicts, and in doing so probably break a lot more. It's clear that you don't understand how the files have been created.

I'm new to the AB world. I will have to some more reading and take time to learn the system thoroughly. I should have a better grasp soon.

Many thanks for everyone's time.

Or you can simply wait for an official update from GW on how the units will work in creating an army and then the files will be more clear on what needs updated/changed.
